VAT and the EU

Today more than ever, markets are becoming more global and more companies multinational. This has created the need for a better understanding of VAT administration mechanisms among corporations and the professionals that serve them. The MIM has been training professionals in the area of VAT for a number of years through its Diploma in VAT Compliance (through IIT). The conference is set up to inform participants on the new developments in international VAT frameworks.

The agenda for this conference will include discussions on the latest information directly from the authorities in Malta and throughout the EU and the new requirements concerning Place of Supply Rules that will come into force on 1 January 2010. The MIM trusts that this VAT and the EU conference will spark a dialogue on simplifying matters for small businesses involved in overseas trade.
