Internal Audit Seminar
The subject of Internal auditing, designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a company’s internal control system, is relatively new especially in Malta. Perhaps the most familiar type of auditing is the administrative audit, or pre-audit, in which individual vouchers, invoices, or other documents are reviewed for accuracy and proper authorization before they are paid or entered in the books. The MIM has felt the need to disseminate further information on adopting a Risk-Based approach to Internal Audit. Key stakeholders in a business now expect more from their internal audit function. In particular, internal auditors need to focus on the issues that really matter to their organisation and demonstrate the value they provide. This seminar will review what real risk-based internal audit (RBIA) is and how to develop such an approach.
