TRAINING - SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER 2011
CERTIFICATE COURSE IN EXPORT MANAGEMENT
A modular and comprehensive training programme on export management principles for the exporting industry.
Starting on the 27th September 2011 (and every Tuesday and Thursday thereafter), Malta Enterprise (ME) is starting a two-month course aimed at providing a foundation of knowledge and expertise, which will enable participants to confidently choose and/or pursue their company’s orientation towards export.
The programme is aimed at individuals in industry, primarily manufacturers and would-be exporters. It is especially relevant to representatives of micro as well as small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who are looking towards export markets for the first time. The programme will also be useful to those who have some export experience, as well as those who are seeking to refine their export management skills.
The Certificate Course in Export Management therefore aims to provide participants with understanding and competence in both the theoretical and practical aspects of export management. It is intended to be a practical course on the fundamentals and the various techniques of export management practices giving a better understanding of the various export functional management areas and how they integrate in achieving the necessary organisational goals within the exporting industry.
The content offers a combination of practical and conceptual inputs designed to promote interaction and exchange of experience coupled with case studies and problem-solving exercises while presenting the participants with the opportunity to understand the complex exporting environment they are operating in.
The course, being organised with the support of the Malta Institute of Management (MIM), will seek to blend their presenters’ and tutors’ experience with some of the key concepts and approaches on which the topics are based. Emphasis will be placed on the practicalities of the various facets of export management from trade to export, marketing to finance, IT techniques to legal views, among a number of other areas. Quality study material supports this programme. Lectures will also include case studies and other training techniques as necessary.
Moreover, the course has been accredited with 44 hours of structured CPE (5.5 hours per module) and qualifies for the attainment of Professional Competencies in terms of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) CPE Regulations.
ME will determine acceptance of applications submitted. Confirmation of acceptance will be communicated before the start of the course. ME reserves the right to modify or change any feature/s or condition/s of the Training Course at their sole discretion, when and if necessary.
