]The Malta Institute of Management (MIM) has been a catalyst during the past years in the development of managers and leaders. In line with new technologies, MIM developed an EB Learn platform that offers managers and leaders the possibility to seek their personal development from the comfort of their office or home. EB-Learn is a sophisticated e-learning system providing interactive communication tools between students and the MIM by means of the Internet.

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) recently held the first edition of the MCA eBusiness Awards aimed at acknowledging unique and innovative local web-based solutions applied by businesses for businesses and society at large. The MIM EB-Learn System was awarded, the ‘Best use of Technology in Education and Training’ during these awards.

The MIM EB-Learn platform currently includes customized diplomas, one in International Tax and another in Hospitality Management available in English and in Mandarin (Chinese) specifically targeted to foreign participants.

The MIM is also providing two online CPE accredited programmes being:

• Basic Principles of International Tax by Dr. Robert Attard
• International Tax Avoidance by Dr. Juanita Brockdorff

Both sessions consist of 4 video presentations of approximately 15 minutes each, with online PDF presentations and Self Assessments available. Each programme is accredited with 2 structured CPE Hours to users.
